AI, together

Sam & Victoria on AI

AI was Sam's thing first.

For a long time, he was the one bringing home new tools, showing Victoria what they could do, and explaining why any of it mattered. Boy, was that a mistake—he gave her the AI bug. She stopped listening and started using them herself.

Sam has spent years building software companies and thinking about technology from the inside out: what changes, what lasts, what businesses should build for themselves, and what is mostly noise. As a co-founder of Runpoint, he spends a lot of time around the bigger questions of AI, business, and how people will actually work with these tools.

Victoria is interested in something a little different. She wants to know what happens when AI leaves the demo and enters real life.

Some of those experiments have turned into real things. Together, we built A Better Talk, a tool for helping people have conversations that matter. Sam built Bouldin Loop around a simple idea: technology can also make a neighborhood feel a little more connected. Victoria has used the same tools to build projects like MAMAHOOD ATX, websites, events, and more.

That's what Bytes is about. Not AI news for the sake of AI news. Not chasing every new tool that launches.

Just the things we're learning, building, testing, and finding genuinely useful—along with the occasional thing that sounded much better in theory.

Because the interesting part of technology isn't really the technology. It's what people decide to do with it.

Talks & Conversations

Sharing What We're Learning

We share what we're learning about AI in conversations, small groups, and the projects we make. No hype, no sales pitch—just practical ideas from two people using the tools in different ways.

Made together
BetterTalk

Have the hard conversation without losing each other.

Every now and then, the two sides of this site meet in the middle. BetterTalk is a small Mac app we built together for the conversations that are hardest to have.

It listens while the two of you talk, names the pattern as it appears, and offers a next move while there's still time to change the conversation.

Coaching, not therapy

A practice tool for two people who want to understand each other better.

Privacy is the point

It keeps neither your audio nor your transcript, and never sells them.

You lead, it follows

You choose when to begin and end, and which prompts to try.
